I Didn’t Miss Her. I Missed the Hope.

This is the longest we’ve gone without talking.

And for the first time, it’s not me trying to create distance.
It’s just… silence.

No explanation. No check-in. No half-message to keep things alive.

Just nothing.

And I’ve thought about every angle—
Maybe something happened.
Maybe her health took a turn.
Maybe there’s a reason.

But if I’m being honest, that’s not what this feels like.

Because even before—when things weren’t perfect, when she disappeared for a day or two—she always came back with something. A message. A reason. A thread to hold onto.

This time, there’s no thread.

And that tells me more than any explanation ever could.

What I’m really feeling isn’t losing her.

It’s losing the belief that she was real in the way I needed her to be.

I believed she was good for me.
I believed we could be good together.
I believed that if I just stayed patient, it would come together the way it was supposed to.

But the truth is—I never actually had that.

I had pieces.
Moments.
Words that felt right in the moment but never fully held up over time.

Her truth was always… incomplete.

Not a lie.
But never the full picture either.

And you can’t build something real on something that only shows up halfway.

So yeah, I miss something.

But it’s not her.

It’s the hope.

The version of her that I filled in.
The future I thought we were moving toward.
The feeling that this was all leading somewhere solid.

That’s what’s gone.

And maybe this silence isn’t a curse.

Maybe it’s the first clear answer I’ve gotten.

Not in words.
But in absence.

Because if something only exists when I’m holding it together…
Then it was never really there on its own.

I’m not angry.

I’m just… done trying to make sense of something that never fully made sense to begin with.

At some point, silence stops feeling temporary.

It becomes the answer.
